Sales Coordinator
Description
The Glavel sales and marketing team is seeking a driven, results-oriented Sales Coordinator. This role will facilitate sales in a dynamic and adaptable environment while supporting the Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be the point of contact for customers, leads, and partners, and will contribute to the long term growth of the company. The Sales Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Sales Manager, and will coordinate with the Plant Manager, Director of Business Operations, and Director of Marketing to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities
- Process and qualify sales opportunities as they arise.
- Educate prospects regarding technical product details.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key firms and contacts.
- Determine the appropriate course of action to close sales effectively.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests.
- Assist in organizing and preparing for lunch and learns with clients.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop and refine sales assets.
- Cold outreach to architecture, engineering, and construction companies.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, deals, and relevant data.
- Provide support to the Sales Manager as needed to meet team goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years experience in sales, marketing, construction management, or related fields.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, such as Hubspot.
- Proven sales track record with relevant products or services.
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and sales channels.
- Knowledge of high performance building systems and construction practices, including Passive House, LEED, Net Zero, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Deep understanding of emerging trends in construction sectors across North America.

Technical Sales Lead
Description
The Technical Sales Lead will play a pivotal role in advancing the adoption of foam glass gravel in commercial and civil deals while nurturing a healthy sales pipeline. This role involves supporting and closing deals while nurturing the sales pipeline. As a geotechnical expert on foam glass gravel, the Technical Sales Lead will have a deep understanding of its applications, uses, and product specifications. The Technical Sales Lead will drive market adoption of foam glass gravel and reinforce Glavel’s position in the low embodied carbon building materials industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide geotechnical project support to ensure smooth implementation of foam glass gravel.
- Conduct testing and obtain approvals at regional and state levels, including DOT and ASTM.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Engage with decision makers to drive the adoption of foam glass gravel.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote foam glass gravel in relevant industries.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for foam glass gravel during calls, meetings, presentations, and other events.
- Partner with the marketing team to create compelling assets, presentations, and product documentation.
- Represent Glavel on job sites to ensure safe and effective product delivery.
- Address and resolve technical issues and customer concerns during installation processes.
- Identify and convert projects using competing materials to foam glass gravel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the geotechnical field.
- BS in Civil Engineering with 4-6 years relevant experience, preferably in the geotechnical field
- Detailed understanding of commercial and civil construction, including bid management and procurement
- Familiarity with technical sales
- Demonstrated understanding of lightweight fill and aggregate applications (MSE, bridge abutments, etc)
- Excitement for sustainability and emerging trends in construction
- Knowledge of public-private partnerships
Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Plant Operator, Night Shift
The Glavel Operations team is seeking night shift staff responsible for the safe and efficient production of foam glass aggregate at the Saxon Hill manufacturing plant. This position will oversee various processes and equipment to ensure that production is running smoothly and finished goods are within compliance of quality control standards. Routine maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and production efficiency are key functions of the position. This role will also be responsible for ensuring production deadlines are met, maintaining equipment, and tracking production metrics.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plant equipment in the production of foam glass aggregate.
- Responsible for material blending, kiln cleaning, and routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
- Execute raw material staging for efficient use and storage
- Operate heavy machinery for aggregate transport, storage, bagging and truck loading
- Execute daily standard machine & facilities maintenance functions – clean & inspect, minor machine/system adjustments & repairs
- Perform routine finished product Quality Control including sample collection, preparation, analysis and documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required)
- Forklift/heavy equipment driving experience helpful
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Highly self-motivated with ability to work within a team
- Manufacturing experience preferred
Physical & Environmental
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Duties include indoor and outdoor work regardless of inclement weather.
- Work may entail both sitting and standing for extended periods.
- Environment may include dust, loud machinery, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
