Glavel, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Team Lead to work independently and within a team at the Saxon Hill manufacturing plant. The Team Lead reports directly to the Plant Manager and has demonstrated communication & leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience driving forklifts/heavy equipment. The Team Lead will support production deadlines, delegation of tasks, shift handoffs, and maintenance of production metrics. The Team Lead will also oversee the dock schedule for inbound/outbound shipments, operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment in the production of foam glass aggregate.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required)

2+ years experience in manufacturing environment

Demonstrated leadership abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated project management skills

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods

Capable of operating in an environment with dust, loud machinery and PPE requirements

Responsibilities

Ensure that machinery is up-to-date and functioning properly

Responsible for training Plant Operators and assigning daily plant duties

Monitor safety and adherence to plant protocols

Prepare line setups for upcoming shifts and closeout shift transitions

Promote high standards of manufacturing excellence

Communicate with management regarding means to plant improvements
